Checklist: Face-to-face dimensions, flanges, and exact part number must be verified prior to any replacement.
End Connections and Gaskets: Verify Configuration
The allowable pressure, operating temperature, and seal selection must be engineered and validated based on diameter, process fluid, and your specific production and cleaning conditions.
Sanitary Connections
Weld-End
Confirm the standard (SMS, DIN, or US), outer diameter, and tube wall thickness prior to selecting your fittings.
Clamp
Measure the ferrule dimensions, verify the connection standard, and ensure adequate clearance for disassembly.
Threaded or union
Identify the union standard and geometry. A matching diameter specification alone does not ensure compatibility.
Process Seals
EPDM
An option to consider based on your media, operating temperature, and cleaning chemistry. Please specify the required gasket grade.
FKM
Verify compatibility with both the process fluid and cleaning agents. The FKM designation alone does not qualify the application.
HNBR
Another sealing option provided by DEFINOX. Confirm its compatibility with your specific operating conditions and CIP/SIP cleaning cycles.

CONTROL AND INDICATION
From local manual operation to complete process automation
Specify the control mode, fail-safe position, and feedback signals required by your PLC. Available options depend on the valve version and nominal size.
Gen2 Pneumatic
Available in normally open, normally closed, or double-acting configurations. Air supply requirements and fail-safe position on loss of air must be specified upon selection.
Position Sensing
M12 or MVQ IO-Link sensing options on the handle. The sensor reliably transmits valve position while manual operation is maintained.
Sorio Housing
Control and position feedback depend on the switch box selected. A simple control system with a 4–20 mA positioner is also available, depending on your configuration.
