An isolation check valve tailored to your process

The DCX3 opens or shuts off process flow in sanitary processing lines. Its one-piece plug comes standard with a floating PFA seal, engineered for easy surface cleaning and maintenance. The precision-machined spherical body is available in multiple configurations for seamless piping integration. Sub-assemblies are secured with sanitary clamp connections for quick, reliable servicing access. Valve selection also depends on the media handled, clean-in-place (CIP) cycles, and fail-safe position requirements upon loss of air supply. For direct replacements, nominal line size alone is insufficient: body geometry, end connections, seal materials, and actuator specifications must all be verified.

01

01

Gasket Cleaning

The floating PFA design allows cleaning fluid to circulate across the seal faces.

02

02

Configurable Valve Body

L-port, T-port, cross, and half-cross body configurations accommodate diverse piping layouts.

03

03

Selectable Sealing Options

PFA, EPDM, or FKM depending on the configuration. Media characteristics, particulate content, and cleaning procedures determine the optimal selection.

04

04

Maintenance Access

Clamp connections and a removable actuator provide easy access to sub-assemblies.

CONFIGURATION AND SELECTION

CONFIGURATION AND SELECTION

Configuration-defining options

Start with the function and end connections, then verify the sealing integrity and actual operating conditions.

Configurations to Compare

Standard or Long-Stroke

The extended stroke increases disc clearance to accommodate fibrous or fragile media.

Manual or pneumatic

Manual override, normally open, normally closed, or double-acting depending on configuration.

Aseptic Requirements

A diaphragm or steam barrier requires a dedicated configuration. A standard DCX3 is not sufficient to qualify an aseptic process.

Technical Benchmarks

Sizes and End Connections

DN 25 to 150 as standard, with select configurations available up to DN 250. Our catalogue also includes US sizing from 1 to 4 inches.

Materials

Standard 316L stainless steel body with a 304 stainless steel actuator. Seals and disc/plug to be specified based on your fluid media and cleaning requirements.

Pressure and Temperature

The catalogue specifies ratings up to 8 bar for PFA or elastomer linings, and 6 bar with a diaphragm. Temperature limits depend on the selected seal and whether operation is static or dynamic.

Need to replace a DCX3 or source replacement seals? Send us a photo and the nameplate details. Leveraging our valve and sealing expertise, we'll pinpoint the exact manufacturer part number required for your order.

OPERATION AND DOCUMENTATION

Ordering, Cleaning, and Replacement

Clear configuration labelling streamlines commissioning and simplifies future maintenance.

ORDER

Set fail-safe position

Specify the valve's required fail-safe action upon loss of air supply. A Sorio control top can integrate both actuation control and position feedback, depending on the selected configuration.

CLEANING

Describe the complete lifecycle

Please specify the CIP chemicals, their concentrations, temperatures, and phase durations. Note that a transient sterilization temperature does not represent a continuous operating temperature.

PARTS & COMPONENTS

Starting with Tagging and Identification

Record the valve tag number and take clear photos of the nameplate, valve body, and actuator. These details ensure our technical team can accurately identify and source the correct seals and replacement sub-assemblies.
