The Right Check Valve for Your Flow Range

The DCX3 REGUL modulates the opening of a shut-off valve to regulate flow rate. Its flow profile geometry is selected based on your specific process conditions. VAMECA provides the technical support you need to collect all critical data when sizing a new installation or retrofit. While pipe diameter serves as a baseline, minimum and maximum flow rates, differential pressure, and media characteristics are equally essential in determining the optimal selection.

01

01

Multiple Disc and Plug Profiles Available

Standard, reduced, or severely reduced bore options allow the valve to be tailored to your required flow rate.

02

02

Shut-off mechanism to be specified

Sealed configurations are available for applications requiring positive shut-off.

03

03

Built-to-Order Integration

The positioner receives the setpoint from the control system. Position feedback can be integrated to ensure precise monitoring.

04

04

Sanitary Configuration

Material selection, end connections, and cleaning procedures are strictly tailored to your actual process conditions.

CONFIGURATION & SELECTION

CONFIGURATION & SELECTION

Specify the valve and its control equipment

Two valves of the same nominal size can be configured with different trim profiles and trim components. Please also specify the required shut-off performance.

Control Configurations

Disc Profile

Standard, reduced, or micro-flow bore. Bubble-tight shut-off models are distinguished from trims engineered exclusively for throttling service.

Sealing Solutions

EPDM or FKM depending on the configuration. Diaphragm versions and steam barrier adaptations are also documented.

Rest Position

Normally closed or normally open actuator configuration available based on your application requirements. The fail-safe position upon loss of air supply must be specified during selection.

Key Technical Features

Construction

L-body and shut-off in 316L stainless steel. 304 stainless steel actuator as per the DEFINOX catalogue.

Piping and Connections

Available in SMS, DIN, and US standards. Confirm the precise pipe diameter and connection type to ensure accurate installation dimensions.

Control Signal

(0)4–20 mA or 0–10 V control signals depending on the selected equipment. An optional feedback board is also available.

Our control expertise ensures your flow rates and pressures align precisely with the right valve plug and positioner selection. We collaborate with you to prepare all required data to verify sizing directly with DEFINOX.

OPERATION AND DOCUMENTATION

Set up stable control

The valve, its positioner, and the operating conditions must be evaluated together.

Sizing

Specify the entire range

Please provide the minimum and maximum flow rates, as well as the upstream and downstream pressures. Include the media's viscosity, specific gravity, and operating temperature.

Order

Specify setpoint and feedback signal

Specify the available input signal and the required feedback. The control unit must align with your automation system's architecture.

Maintenance & Service

Identify existing configuration

To replace a valve or its components, please provide the nameplate, the identification number, and a photo of the positioner. The DCX3 part number alone does not specify the installed disc configuration.
