Material Construction and Performance

KLINGER specifies that this grade contains no pigments. Its barium sulphate filler should not be confused with PTFE-silica formulations.

Key Factors to Review Before Substitution

When replacing an existing PTFE gasket, verify the chemical media and its concentration level, as well as the flange bolt load—do not rely solely on the white colour.

To compare constructions: Garlock GYLON 3510 and TEADIT TEALON TF 1580. Barium sulphate is common, but metallic reinforcements, installation requirements, and operating limits may vary.
