The 316L stainless steel perforated insert increases mechanical resistance against pressure variations and thermal cycling. GYLON HP 3560 maintains a reinforced construction but uses a silica filler rather than barium sulphate: chemical compatibility ranges are therefore not identical.

Recommendations for Replacement Evaluation

Material selection must account for the P/T curve, flange class and geometry, as well as the exact service media. The 172 bar rating represents a catalogue maximum, not a guaranteed operating pressure at 260°C.
