Garlock GYLON Style 3530 is a black, graphite-filled PTFE gasketing sheet engineered for severe chemical services. It is specifically recommended by the manufacturer for high concentrations of hydrofluoric acid, monomers, and volatile air pollutants where fugitive emissions must be strictly controlled.
Our Quebec facility manufactures custom-cut flat gaskets to your exact specifications. VAMECA can also evaluate the supply of this part number or engineer a suitable replacement.

Applications and Key Features
Garlock specifies an operating range of −268 to 260°C and a maximum pressure rating of 55 bar, subject to pressure-temperature (P x T) factors. This grade is available in sheet form and as cut gaskets. Hazardous fluid compatibility must be evaluated based on the exact formulation.
PART NUMBER ANALYSIS
KEY COMPARISON CRITERIA
Graphite-filled GYLON 3530 differs from silica-filled 3500, for which Garlock excludes hydrofluoric acid applications.

Part Number: Garlock GYLON 3530
Please provide the part number, thickness, dimensions, quantity, and process fluid. We will review material availability for the specified grade, custom cutting at our Quebec facility, or an engineered alternative tailored to your assembly.
The manufacturer's latest datasheets, certifications, and P/T curves must be reviewed prior to ordering or substitution.
Graphite, carbon, SiC, and silica fillers determine distinct chemical compatibility ranges. In particular, ensure that silica-filled grades are excluded from HF (hydrofluoric acid) service. Associated reference constructions: Durlon 9400 (carbon-filled PTFE), top-chem 2000 (silicon carbide (SiC)-filled PTFE), and GYLON 3500 (silica-filled PTFE).
